Crochet hook size I or whatever size makes a fabric that you like the feel of.Use 2 strands of DK merino yarn held together for the entire afghan.I always use 2 different colors changing 1 color at a time when it runs out. I tie the new strand to the old, the knots are really easy to hide inside the stitches. Chain 152 . Row 1: 2 SC into 2nd CH from the hook.*SC into the next 6 CH, skip 2, SC into each of the next 6 CHS, 3 SC into the next CH, repeat from * 8 more times.SC in next 6 CH, skip 2, SC in next 6 CH,2 SC in last CH. CH 1 turn. Row 2: From now on SC into the back loop of each stitch.2 SC in first SC, *SC in each of next 6 SC, skip 2 SC, SC in next 6 SC, 3 SC in next SC( this is the middle of the 3 SC of Row 1). Repeat from * 8 more times.SC in next 6 SC, skip 2,SC in next 6 SC, 2 SC in last SC. CH 1 and turn. 2 Skeins Fancy Image Nylon Novelty Yarn 120 yds each. (I used Seahawks colorway.) 1 Skein Fancy Image DK Wt. Machine Washable Merino ( I used Hawk's Blue.) Both Yarns listed under *Everything Seahawks on Store Page This amount of yarn made a scarf that is approx. 8" wide X 7'long. A very serious scarf!
Size 10 1/2 needles With 1 strand of Merino yarn and 1 strand of novelty yarn held together, cast on 22 sts. K2, P2 for desired length. Bind off. Give to your self or your favorite person!
